Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “He whom Allah intends good, He makes him to suffer from some affliction”.

Our Goal

Suffah Educational Guidance strives to serve as a sanctuary for the expanding local Muslim community, offering a space for prayer and functioning as a hub for reflection, safeguarding, and practical application of traditional Islamic wisdom.

Our History

Alhamdulillah, Suffah Educational Guidance has graduated over 300 Huffaz and 25 Aalim in the Chicagoland area over the past 17 years. Our institute, offering programs like the Hifz program and an Alim course for both men and women, has recently acquired a former church in Skokie, IL, with the grace of Allah SWT and community support. This significant development allows us to better serve our growing community. With your continued support, we aim to transform this new facility into a hub for learning and spirituality, introducing programs for adults, adolescents, and children. Our vision is for this institute to evolve into a Masjid—a center for worship and community unity, fostering a holistic approach to learning. Our Programs

Arabic and Islamic Studies

(For Women)

1 Year, the student will develop a deep understanding and love of the language of Arabic, along with a deep-rooted appreciation and understanding of Islam. This Program in Urdu and Arabic Language

Intensives

4 Weeks Program, the student will gain the essentials of his deen. In this intensive, one will cover essential topics for one’s daily life

Arabic and Islamic Studies (Part Time)

Jamia Suffah is excited to launch its first ever 2-Year Part Time Arabic and Islamic Studies program. This is a first program of its kind within the north side area of the city of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. This program is carefully designed for individuals who are willing to study the sacred knowledge on a part time basis. With our schedule based around full time students and professionals, this program is accessible to everyone. Students will also be able to join classes online, however this will be based on the administration’s discretion.

Arabic and Islamic Studies (Aalim Course)

Embark on a transformative journey with our Alim Course, designed to cultivate scholars and leaders in the global Muslim community. Our comprehensive program covers Quranic studies, Hadith sciences, Islamic jurisprudence, Arabic language proficiency, theology, and spiritual development. Graduates will receive certification, prepared to serve as leaders, ambassadors of Islam, and positive contributors to society. Join us for a transformative journey of knowledge, spirituality, and community impact at Jamia Suffah’s Alim Course.

Full time Hifz

Our Institute provides a Full Time hifz classes for men and women of all ages. Class timing are 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday)

After School Programs

Our Institute provides a Part Time hifz Nazirah and Qa’idah classes for boys and girls. Class timing are 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Monday – Friday)

Saturday Programs (Boys and Girls)

Our Institute offers Saturday programs for boys, Girls. Class timing are 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Summer Program (Boys and Girls)

During Summer Our Institute offers verity of programs for boys, Girls from ages 6 and above
